SCLEROTHERAPHY

Sclerotherapy involves using a micro-needle to inject a sclerosant into the veins. The veins collapse, seal shut and are reabsorbed into the body. The number of treatments varies depending on the number, size and type of veins being treated. Typically a patient will receive several injections per treatment session.

Sclerotherapy is done in our office and generally normal activities can be resumed right away. After the treatment the leg is wrapped. Compression stockings or leg wraps may need to be worn for several days after treatment.
