ENDOVENOUS ABLATION

Millions of Americans suffer from some form of venous disorder or insufficiency. While some people seek treatment for cosmetic improvement, many seek Endovenous Ablation as a treatment alternative to the past method of surgically stripping major veins. Using ultrasound visualization, the physician inserts a small, flexible tube into the damaged vein. Thermal energy, or heat, is then delivered inside the vein, which causes the vein to collapse and seal shut. Once the vein is closed, healthy veins around the closed vein restore normal blood flow and the varicose vein essentially vanishes.

Immediately after the procedure, a leg wrap is placed on the treated leg and the patient is up and walking that same day. Normal activity is resumed within 24 hours. Compression hose are worn for several days following the procedure to minimize possible swelling and to allow proper healing.

We offer our patient's convenience and quality assurance by performing endovenous ablation onsite in our fully functional operating room, comparable to those in hospitals.
